It is essential to obtain permits from the Transport
Department, if anyone decides to ply a transport vehicle. [carrying passengers
or goods or both by road for hire or reward]. State Transport Authority
regulates the issue of permits.
Buses, Trucks, Vans, Tourist, taxis, auto rickshaws,
Private Service Vehicles , tractor, jeeps will all need permits.
The validity of the regular permits will be 5 years from
the date of its issue, except Temporary and Special Permits. Each permits
shall have a separate form and fees as prescribed.
Note: For SC applicants 25% concession on the fee is allowed.
